Correct faith is the foundation of success. The way to achieve success is to maintain true faith and translate it into action. A person’s success is derived from the faith inside him.
(This is a translation of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu’s philosophical sayings about worldly matters originally written in Chinese.)
Below is not an official translation, just for reference.
In society, to accomplish any task and achieve success in any endeavor, one must first possess confidence, belief, and faith. These are the fundamental prerequisites, and with them in place, one can do anything.
Therefore, having faith is the foundation for accomplishing all endeavors. However, it is crucial for this faith to be righteous. If one's confidence is misguided and they heed false advice, failure will ultimately follow. Righteous faith entails having a sound and accurate understanding, confirming whether one's beliefs align with the truth, and possessing the confidence to be successful based on these principles. As the saying goes, only with faith can one actualize it in their endeavors, manifesting through concrete actions and pursuing success in everything they do. Through actions grounded in faith, one advances toward their chosen objectives without stepping back in the face of any obstacles, ultimately attaining the objectives aligned with righteous faith. Therefore, the achievement of all endeavors relies on having faith. Without it, there is no foundation for undertaking any endeavor. Hence, having faith is the bedrock, and it is within this righteous faith that accomplishments thrive.
