Exercise caution when everything goes your way; persevere in what you do when nothing goes your way. In the former case, lack of caution results in disasters; in the latter case,

perseverance will never go unrewarded.

When we are on the road to smooth sailing and happiness, we must not be presumptuous and negligent. Still, we should be very cautious and live our lives modestly and prudently because a person's situation cannot be static, and all people are impermanent changes. Everyone is like this; this is the immutable theorem, so only modesty and prudence can deal with unexpected events that may occur at any time.

In times of hardships, you should lift your spirits, perk up your will, deal with problems calmly, and fight for them tenaciously. If you lose your perseverance in the face of good times, disaster will fall on you. In the face of difficulty and hardships, we will eventually overcome trouble and problems if we strive and fight for them. In the end, we will succeed and achieve happiness.
