You will never get anything done by putting it off until next time, because the next time may turn out to be a life time.

(This is a translation of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu’s philosophical sayings about worldly matters originally written in Chinese.)

Below is not an official translation, just for reference.

The achievement of everything in the world, whether in career, religion, scientific research, or academic pursuits. Weather in the state of action or inaction, success in all things must first possess confidence, and they must have trust . If even trust is lacking, it is impossible to proceed. To proceed under such circumstances would be against one's own heart; it would be insincere, "Self-imposed and done forcibly and thus it would be false. Only with confidence can one truly and genuinely act, naturally bear fruit, and gain results. Without action, or with false action, it would only waste time, and there would be no possibility of any gain. Therefore, it is explicitly stated to us that the presence or absence of gain should be based on confidence.
