People of great versatility are exposed to more verbal attacks than those are who do not possess this ability. It is so because they have too many people to satisfy.

(This is a translation of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu’s philosophical sayings about worldly matters originally written in Chinese.)

Below is not an official translation, just for reference

The greater a person's talent, wisdom, and energy, the more troubles, disputes, and gossip they tend to attract. Why is this so? The main reason is that their exceptional abilities of talent, wisdom, and energy lead to frequent social interactions and connections with many people. So they engage in more conversations and activities, making it inevitable that various conflicts and misunderstandings will arise. At the same time, people's thoughts, levels of understanding, and perspectives vary widely, leading to differing opinions—both praise and criticism, admiration and defamation. Consequently, troubles, disputes, and gossip naturally follow. This is an objective and scientific principle, and there is nothing surprising about it.
